
Roberto Verona (Ph.D., CPA) since 2011 is an Associate Professor at the University of Pisa where he teaches “Economia Aziendale”, “Tecnica Professionale, corso progredito”, “Ragioneria Applicata”, “Tecnica Professionale applicata alle imprese in crisi” at the Department of Economics and Management and “Bilancio” at the Department of Law of the University of Pisa.
He is a member of the Doctoral Council in Business Administration and he heads the Master in “Bilancio e Amministrazione Aziendale” organized by the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Pisa. In January 2015 he obtained the national scientific qualification as a full professor. He is actively involved as Head of numerous University Courses of Specialization including “Usura e anatocismo”, “Crisi di Impresa e Strategie di Risanamento”; “Il Sovraindebitamento di consumatori e imprese”.
He is an active reviewer for numerous national and international journals and series. He is a member of the Società Italiana dei Docenti di Ragioneria e di Economia Aziendale (SIDREA), of the Società Italiana di Storia della Ragioneria (SISR), and of the Accademia Italiana di Economia Aziendale (AIDEA).
His main research interests include financial accounting, corporate social responsibility, M&A, gambling and the accounting history. He has published articles in various international journals, including The British Accounting Review, the Critical Perspectives on Accounting, the Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal, the Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, Accounting Forum, the Managerial Auditing Journal, the Quarterly Review of Economics and Management, the Journal of International Accounting Research and Applied Economics.
