In 1993 she graduated in Political Science from the University of Rome La Sapienza.
In 1998 she obtained the PhD in “Sociology of culture and political processes” at the same University.
From 2006 to 2012 she was a University researcher in Political Sociology at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Rome La Sapienza.
From 2012 to 2020 she was Associate Professor of Political Sociology at the Department of Political Sciences of the Sapienza University of Rome.
She is currently Full Professor of Political Sociology at the same Department.
Since 2020 she is President of the Didactic Area in Political Science and International Relations.
She is a member of numerous Scientific Committees and Editorial Committees of Journal and Series. Since 2018 she is General Secretary of the Lorella Cedroni Association of Political Theory – ATPLC.
In her research activity she mainly focused on social change and political processes, with particular reference to the process of European integration and the governance of its institutions. She is the author of numerous essays and articles in academic journals. Among her most recent works: L’Europa dei cittadini (Milano, FrancoAngeli, 2015); Le dimensioni del potere, a cura di, (Roma, Bulzoni, 2018); Moda e Politica. La rappresentazione simbolica del potere (Milano, Meltemi, 2020).
