I was born on 3 rd August 1963 in Brno, Czech Republic, and I have been living here in the central part with my family ever since. From 1988 to 2019 I was married and I have a 20-year-old son, who is studying at university.
I received my secondary education at the grammar school in the years 1977 – 1981. I studied in the class focused on programming and computer science. In 1981 I passed the Leaving Examination in mathematics, programming, Czech and Russian languages.
Mathematics had been my favourite subject and therefore I decided to go on my studies of pure mathematics at the Faculty of Science of the Masaryk University in Brno. I chose to specialize the Mathematical Informatics, Theoretical Cybernetics and Theory of Systems. I finished my University study by submitting and discussing my dissertation with the name General Inverses (in Czech) concerning properties and application of pseudo-inverses matrices and graduated with the Final State Examination in 1986.
After leaving the university I had been 2 years at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Technical University in Brno on my research fellowship at the Department of Mathematics and Projective Geometry. I had been teaching mathematics and basics of programming and computer graphics there. I was accepted to the Military Academy on a competitive basis in 1988. At the same year I also achieved my doctor’s degree (RNDr.) by passing State Examination in Mathematical Analysis.
I decided to continue my studies with postgraduate studies. I started my next study at the Department of Mathematics of the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University in Brno in 1991. My supervisor was professor Ladislav Kosmák, highly experienced university teacher and outstanding expert in algebra. My studies were completed and I achieved a PhD degree by passing the State Examination with dissertation Matrix Representation of Binary Relations (in Czech) in 1996.
Except more than 100 papers concerning particularly theory of binary and ternary relations, logistic problems, reduced harmonic series, and special infinite series I have written a monograph Introduction to Algebra (in Czech) in 2012 and a monograph Metric Spaces (in Czech) as a co-author together with my ex-supervisor. The second one was published in the Academia publishing house in 2004.
This publishing house also published a monograph Fourier Trigonometric Series and the Finite Element Method in Complex Domain (in Czech) which I co-authored together with the former head of the Department of Mathematics of Faculty of Military Technology of University of Defence professor Stanislav Koukal and with one of the most leading members of Institute of Mathematics of the Academy of Science of Czech Republic professor Michal Křížek in 2002.
At present, at the Department of Mathematics and Physics, I am the guarantor of mathematical subjects in the newly accredited specialization Cyber Security and of the subject Graph Theory. In addition to infinite number series, my professional interest also includes the application of mathematical statistics.
