Claudia Salvatore is Full Professor of Business Administration at the Department of Public Health of the University of Naples Federico II.
She held a Master of Science (MSc) in “Health Policy, Planning, and Financing” from the University of London (UK), London School of Economics (LSE), and a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Naples Federico II. She was President of the three-year degree course in Business Administration, member of the Faculty Board of the PhD program in Innovation and Management of Public Resources at the University of Molise, and delegate of the Department of Economics for relations with the Orders of Accountants in the Molise region.
She is currently Coordinator of the Master’s Degree Course in Preventive Health Sciences at the University of Naples Federico II. She teaches on the Bachelor’s Degree Course in Health Biotechnology, the Master’s Degree Courses in Health Sciences, the Master’s Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery, and the Level II Master’s Degree in Health Management at the University of Naples Federico II. She is a member of the Management Board of the Interdepartmental Center for Research in Health Management and Innovation in Healthcare (CIRMIS), University of Naples Federico II.
She is a member of the European Accounting Association (EAA), the Italian Academy of Business Administration (AIDEA), the Italian Society of Accounting and Business Administration Teachers (SIDREA), and the Italian Society of Accounting History (SISR).
She is a member of Scientific and Editorial Committees for international series and journals and is a reviewer for various scientific journals and series. She is scientific supervisor and member of research projects and study groups. She has significant teaching and research experience in the field of accounting and management in private and public companies. She was awarded a fellowship from the Erasmus Plus program, Staff Mobility for Teaching, and went to the University of Cadiz, Spain, Department of Accounting and Finance. Her main research interests are: Accounting and Accountability in the private and public sectors, with particular reference to control systems in healthcare companies, sustainability in the public healthcare system, and the budgets of universities and healthcare companies. She also focuses on Sustainability Reporting and non-financial disclosure in public entities. She is the author of several scientific monographs, chapters, and scientific articles, including many in international journals.
